Guess what? My 2002 S3T front isolator has a 19mm nut and bolt. The isolator mounting nuts and bolts are 14mm. Go figure. I thought that 3/4 inch wrench was a little loose. You might want to file that away some where for future reference. (Message edited by 5liter on June 26, 2009) | ||

Iso mount bolts are 3/8"x 16 x 1" with a 9/16" head. Main Iso bolt is 1/2"x 13 x3-3/4" with a 3/4" head. 9/16" = .5625 14mm x 39.4 = .5516 3/4" = .750 19mm x 39.4 = .7486 Being that most bolts come from China these days sooner or later we will be using ViseGrips and pliers to get a good fit. | ||

Now I just gotta figure out how to get the wrench and socket on those iso mount bolts. Sure isn't much room. All mine must be the Chinese versions. The standard size wrenches are sure loose. | ||

Dropping the Iso tie bar on the frame (right) side will give you more room to get at the lock nut. I ground,heated and bent a open end wrench just to get at the right hand Iso nut. Once broken loose I use a 3/8" air ratchet with a 9/16" wobble socket and a 3/4" long extension on the top side and the bent wrench on the bottom. | ||

I figured I was going to have to make a few tools to get at them. Maybe if I could find my old distributor wrenches I might have something. |
