when considering performance and price, what are the advantages to rejetting the stock or buying an aftermarket carburetor? |

The stock cv carb is pretty good especially if you ride where altitude changes. What are your other mods? If you're making big power you might want a mikuni. You can save your money on a jet kit and just buy a 45 pilot and 180 or 190 main. Then search on here for jetting and adjust the air/fuel screw to 2.5 out to start with. |

thanks a lot, just bought the bike with only 3300 miles and the only mod made was a vance n hines pipe. I plan putting on the race air cleaner from american sport bike before any carb work but was just checking out my options |

Stick with the stocker and save the money for gas and tires. You can probably just get single jets from your HD dealer or maybe Al at A S B. |
