I am very new to Buell, in any case I need to reset my TPS, and after searching the net I found that a tool called ECM spy can do this and is available for free + a cable, only as of June the application is no longer available for download. Anyone willing to email me a zip file of the exe windows installer, preferably for the latest version. Thanks. | ||

Dang, with the unfolding drama behind the ECM Spy program, I am shocked that it came to this. I had no idea. Seems very petty to pull the plug entirely. Good think I have a copy I guess, and that I just installed it so the setup file was in my recycle bin for me to remove and save it permanently! | ||

Actually none of the above links have the current version of ECMSPY for PC. There is one active link for a somewhat older version. | ||

For all practical purposes there is no difference between the two versions. And, there is no "licensing" issues if people share the program amongst themselves. There might be some issues if someone starts charging for it. | ||

Thanks for the input Kalali, I looked into downloading it earlier and it seems like thier is a few things you have to download with it. It looks sorta complicated to me. So I may just try to have the dealer do it. Thanks for the input, Matt Tully | ||

Read around on it. Take some time. I only had to download two things and got it to work, it really is fun and very satisfying to do it your self. It's really cool when all the gauges come up on your laptop for the first time too. | ||

"Read around on it. Take some time." +1 I downloaded it for the first time after doing some reading up on the software and it's uses. I've done TPS and AFV resets as well as some basic tuning to the fuel maps and had no issues. The tuning guide available on ecmspy.com is a big help. | ||

The version which I can find to download from one of your links above is 1.12.1 the current version appears to be 1.12.26, which doesn't apear to be hosted on the web. | ||

Thanks 4 the link. I just downloaded the 12.1.1 version form the xoptiinside page with no problem. Now got to figure out the cable. looks like a fun way to screw everything up. | ||

There's some good info out there about building your own cable but it's waaaay easier to call Al up and just have him mail it to you. But you are so right about it being a fun way to screw everything up. Everything's more fun on a Buell. | ||

Alright, I just tried to download emcspy using the above link. It doesnt work anymore, the link on the site to download it is broken, and when I try the other one, a bunch of tacs show up with closed written over top of it. Well i spent a good part of the morning searching the web and get it while you can!! I cut and pasted this from there site With the end of the project, the software is not available for download any more. ANY DISTRIBUTION OR HOSTING OF OUR SOFTWARE ON OTHER SERVERS IS PROHIBITED! WOW this is going to suck, I wonder if they are going to start selling it? Man i am so glad this thread was posted I just backed up all the copies i have on 3 pc's and 1 laptop |
