On a STOCK ENGINE if you raise the REV LIMITER to 7000 RPM(shift at 6800RPM) it will perform better by just winding the engine tighter ...

"BUT" there are a few thing that will make you engine perform better in the RPM RANGE that you ride every day ...

"yes" you will need a TACH.,advavce the Engine Timing the correct amount, gap the spark plugs correctly, Jet the OEM CARB.correctly (ie: idle mixture, Low speed jet, needle height(M2 has the best needle),High speed jet, Radius the slide, remove the accelerator pump filling the spray nozzle hole, putting on a Air Cleaner so the engine can BREATHE(this can be done on the OEM Air Box), adjusting the Primary Chain correctly, adjusting the Drive Belt correctly, running a couple more pounds of air in your tires, properly greased wheel gearings, the correct oil level in the transmission, and SYN3 oil in engine/trans. ...

Rememdber:THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS !!!

BUELLers, did "i" miss any thing ???
