im getting ready for a tour in about a little less than a year and i plan on making my own rack for the back of my bike. i no american sport bike sells one but i rather have the fun of making my own. so i was wondering if anyone has done this before or has any tips for me one drawing one up.

There was a good picture of the Ventura rack mount in the classifieds. Copying that would be one proven approach. Although the listed carrying capacity is pretty low.

I went sport cortech saddlebags with the duffle style tail bag. Also added their small non magnetic tank bag. Looks good and holds alot. I'll be packing it up for a trip to MT next week...I'll post pics later...
