It,s yesterday just touched up waiting for warmer weather to paint in a tent.Side stands are now ,when taking pics like bike to be upright as possible. If you strip plates you get finished S2 plates that where powder coated for 96 Frank. Good Eye Frank! Pull Some GGGGGGs Butch PS wish I had more money but won,t make S2 Gathering unless I win Lottery and never play any way.Always figerd better chance getting struck by lightning was better chance!

Did you build the trailer and hitch yourself? could I get some closer photos of that set up. Looks good and I need someplace to put stuff behind the S1. Thanks, Eric

phelan-- dont remember whom made the filter.. had bought a case quite a while ago and that was the last one.. but they were longer and held more oil so i always thought that a big plus...liked the yellow matched my plug wires too.
i have a system-one oil filter to go on it next..
buffalo bolt-- good to hear form you.. will have to make my way up there this summer some time... the wife prefers to play on the little 125 enduro. think the blast scares her a little.. after some practice im sure she will like it,, till then its all mine..(HA,HA,HA)evil laugh
ebutch-- thanks,,, i will have to check the computer at home to see if i have any progress picks of the side stand.. the swing arm was from a factory racing team.. i stripped it and had it powder coated silver with a layer of clear over top.. i love the look of the al swingarm on an s2 but didnt like the bottoming out with two up.. the braced one give me the extra stiffness in the rear end but still have full travel.. plus not that many running braced swing arms..
let me know when your planning to be in the area.. will fire up the s2 and the grill... latter aaron

I also use extra long oil filter.Ask for Dyna-Glide filter at Harley dealer parts then your S2,Tuber will hold 3qt. of oil, more filtering.

Ebutch,I was just thinking about what bike I will get this up coming year and was thinking of all the wonderful things people say about the 1125. I used to have a 96 S2. I saw the above pic of the grey S2-T (my fav. color to boot) and remembered how much I miss mine. I know it is not as fast or possibly able, but my God do I miss my S2. You may have kept me from leaving Tubers.

A couple of pics from my last adventure which ends tomorrow. I went down on ice on Monarch Pass and the front turn signal took most of the impact along with the deep bags. I found a replacement at Grand Junction HD. I was surprised they had one.

Frank, What happened on the ice? Were you in motion at the time? I take it that you didn't get hurt?

Angelo, the bike looks great!!

Thanks for the compliments guys. My 18 year-old step son has been looking for a bike but for him it was all about looks. He ended up buying a $10,000 Yamaha 600 and we went for a ride this weekend. I rode the Yamaha (Sewing machine) and let him ride my S2. When we stopped his eyes were big and he said, "WOW! this thing has a totally different kind of power. Im glad I was hanging on when I twisted it." I smiled

Loren, here is the thread. Lynn and I are both ok. The only thing hurt was some fiberglass, plastic and my pride.

Glad neither of you had any physical injuries but that pride thing does hurt and having your baby(the S2T)banged up too. Hate when that happens!!

So my stepson and I were supposed to go for a ride this morning. Him on his new Yamaha R6 sewing machine (though it is pretty sweet) and me on my '95 S2. It's been raining for 6 days and the weather was going to be clear early before we kicked off day 7 of rain. I told him we would lift kickstands at 7a. At 6:55 I called him. No answer. 7:05, still no answer. 7:10 he got left behind. A meteorologist friend told me yesterday that I would be smart to go South rather then my planned North trip. I went into Volusia County into Daytona. Everything is flooding down there and a lot of the scenic roads are under water. This, of course, made for and even more adventurous ride. Here are some pics of me n Buella enjoying our first long ride together since the reassemble. She rides like a champ.

Was wondering if anyone had a small back rest on an S2? Would love to see. This is one reason I am thinking about an S3, I know you can get a back rest.

You can't really lean back enough to use a driver backrest on the s3 or the s2. I have tried using a sleeping bag, but unless you have very very long arms, just can't lean back enough. That said, the seating position is easy on the back.

Not for the "driver", but for the passenger.

Originally did the S2-T only have "thin bags", or was there a "wide bag" option for the S2-T?

Great looking bike Joe. I saw a squid in shorts and flip flops riding one just like it.

It was great seeing you and Kim again.

Hey Frank, great seeing you too. Glad you made it home OK : ) Sorry Lynn couldn't make it - we'll make sure to drag her out next time.

Got a couple pics I'll mail ya here in a sec. If you have Canon software, you can read the RAW format, otherwise only one will show up as a picture for ya. I don't know how them there Apples work, I'm not allowed to play with the one in our house LOL.

Squid. Bite me. Just not worth suiting up to ride it to the bed of the truck, lol. : )
