Prebs, The continental Road attacks work great, and can be had at a reasonably cost (less than 300 for the set) from a number of places http://www.google.com/products?q=continental+road+ attack+motorcycle Those will provide decent mileage (more than 8k) If you're looking for a pure sporting tire, the pirelli corsas work great also. They'll go away more quickly (less than 5K) but they're pretty damn sticky under most conditions | ||

I'm loving my Conti Sport Attacks. Not as long lasting as the Road Attacks but super sticky and at a great price. The Road Attacks will last over 8k and provide more than enough street traction dry or wet. | ||

I've got about 3k on my Michelin Pilot Road2's. Pricey, but they look brand new with this many miles on 'em. Transitional handling is awesome, nice and neutral, wet traction is rock-solid, and they even did the 'parade lap' at the 25th Homecoming, 2-up, with no problems. It was a free-for-all, too...nothing shy about those laps. I'd recommend 'em to anyone. | ||

I've had 220's on my S3T. Got 2 years out of the front and only one season out of the rear. | ||

I just ordered Stradas for my S3T. It was a toss-up between the Stradas and the Pilot Road 2's. If I don't like the Stradas, I guess I'll try the PR2's. Hopefully they should be here in the next couple days so I can get them on there. | ||

I just changed the rear Pilot Road 2CT for a Dunlop Roadsmart. I got just about 11000 miles on the 2CT of 90% commuting. The reason I went with the Dunlop was price the tire was $50 cheaper at Cycle Gear. We'll see how it works. | ||

180 will be fine, I mounted up a set of Strada's last week on the S3 and went on a 320 mile ride yesterday, excellent tire much smoother turning in then the Dunlop Q's I have on the X1. | ||

Prebs, the 180 works fine. The 170s are getting more difficult to come by on some tires. Competition accessories is running a special on Pilot Roads, front and rear tires for 220 + shipping. or you can get the Pilot Power 2CT for 260 for the pair. Not a bad deal for 2 tires | ||

Metzler SportTec M3 for me..... best tire next to Diablo's... Sporttec M3 is averaging 3 to 1 (front tire lasts 3 times the rear)... just going to install new M3 in two weeks. | ||

Always been a Metz fan. I tried the M1 on the S1 when they were first released. I found it to be a good tire. Had issues with damp pavement. Still an excellent choice of tire. Tried the M3 as soon as they hit the market. This is my current choice for the S1. Solved the few short comings of the M1 imho. The Z6 is my choice for a sport orientated touring type. | ||

Just order some Pirelli Diablo Rossos off the bay and be done with any question of performance. Last I saw it was $275 for the pair. They're simply the best out there  . Or the Scorpion Syncs... Or the Stradas... | ||

Pirelli Diablo Stradas .. Just took off first set, 9,600 miles. Front was OK, rear was toast! These are great tires, btw. Just installed a set branded as Pirelli Diablo that I got from Cycle Gear for $189 on an inventory blowout. Might check with them so see if anymore are available. | ||

I'm running the Corsa III's and really like them. Not showing too much wear at 800 miles, but will probably switch to the stradas when these go for something that last a little longer. | ||

It's a human thing - we're all more comfortable going right than left, because right turns pull the throttle hand towards us; left turns stretch out the throttle arm (and reduce dexterity / finesse). | ||

I have been pleased with the Tomahawk T1 I mounted 700 miles ago. I also favor a left-hand turn and happen to be left handed. Hmmm. |
