Hi all,

I'm in the middle of my 1250 kit install, with cometic gaskets... and have a question for the experts:

I was wondering about the head torque sequence using Cometic MLS gasket...
I noticed that with Cometic head gasket the front and rear head torque sequence is the same.

My question is which torque sequence do I should to use? Cometic or Service Manual

COMETIC TORQUE SEQUENCE.

SERVICE MANUAL TORQUE SEQUENCE

Thanks in advance to any who care to comment on this.

One other else question,
Cometic gaskets ( Head and base) could to be reusing in a future?

Gaskets are one time use then replace on the next build.

I just used cometic gaskets for my rebuild.. went with the service manual torque pattern and have no leaks with nearly 2500 miles. (in two weeks - hell yes)

I think the important issue is that the torque is applied in a cross pattern, not where the pattern starts. I may be wrong, but that's my $0.02
