I've searched the KV but would welcome your input. I want to clean up the tail end appearance of my '00 M2 (loose the big licence plate holder, and perhaps integrate the flashers into the tail light assembly).

I've looked at the Banke kit that uses the OEM flashers and while it isn't bad I would like to see what else is available. I don't want to make major mods, mess with the seat assembly, etc. Just clean it up some.

Thanks.

I use the one from American Sport Bike and don't run any turn signals, I have an integrated LED light...

I used the Carbon Undertail. The LED Tailight with integrated turn signals, and the Banke license plate holder. I switched to XB turn signals on top of this for visibility. Cages do not pay attention, I do not need to be seen less.

I talked to American sport bike about a fiberglass undertail instead of carbon fiber one and they are making one for me without the holes for turn signals. I got an intagated led tailight off of ebay for $100.00 brand new. Now I just have to find some really small front turn signals and some new paint and I will have a really sweet ride

Is the Fiberglass undertail the same $$ as the carbon?

no it's cheaper, I don't really care for the look of carbon fiber and would have ended up painting it anyways so I just asked if the can do them in fiberglass and withouth the blinker holes and they hooked me up. Haven't got it yet but they seem like pretty decent people and know what they are talking about

Wizard,

That's exactly the reason I'd be interested in the Fiberglass part. Would you mind PMing me the price they gave you?

I would but I don't remember I think it was 279.00 but don't quote me on that though. I just remember the price was cheaper.

I submit my tail as a cautionary tale… Some days I love it. Some days I don’t. But I NEVER feel safe. The rear brake light has a mod on it that flashes back and forth like the Night Rider. The side directionals are also marker lights and work great from the side. The tiny blinkers under the subframe are VERY bright, but no expects to see blinkers there…

I’m probably going to mount a tail light under the subframe (where the tiny blinkers are) short term, but I want to return it to a shortened stock tail at some point over the next few months.

What's the undertail of your bike look like Randy??? Did you cover it with anything?

Nope. The under tail is just the underside of the bodywork.

I ran the wires as clean as possible and sprayed the underside with black rhino paint, if I remember right.

I have a flex light LED bar on the back bar of the subframe that acts as a second brake light right now. There's not a lot under there -- just wires for the tail light and blinkers. The side directionals feed inside the top side of the bodywork, if that makes sense...

Yep, it's a Corbin in CF weave. I was all set to strip the bodywork off the bike, then come on this REALLY cheap. It looked so good that I decided to keep the body.

(Dude I bought it from also had another one and I can pass along his info, if you're interested. He's a painter and also has a killer body set for the first-gen M2...)

Comfy...? Hard to say. I think motorcycle seats are pretty subjective. This one retains the wedgie front of the stock unit. The scooped section is too far back to give much relief, too. BUT on highways and straight stuff it's nice to move around and I've done a handful of 150-mile days since I got it and it suits me better.

I had a seat like this on my old Trident 900... I don't know why Corbin builds the scoop so far back on their gunfighter, but I've never sat on one where I could keep a slight bend in my elbow and fit my a$$ on the part that seems to be most comfortable.

Still, I give it two thumbs up : )
