The service manual tells me to replace the "fork oil seal and support ring". Anyone know why the support ring needs replaced? Dealer quoted about $45 each. It looks like a plain metal washer to me.

Also, my rebound adjusters are very faded. I ordered two, received one, and learned later that the adjusters are obsolete. Anyone have one laying around they're willing to let go of? Thanks.

Roger, from looking at the parts book exploded view and having had the forks on my XB apart a few times, I would see no reason to replace the support ring.
