I have a 01 X1 with 22k and it carries 12 to 17lbs of pressure all the time no matter what rpm. the bike sounds great but when i run it around 3 to 4000 rpms for more than two minutes( like going down the freeway) the top end rattles more than normal. As soon as you get off the freeway and ride a few miles or so it goes away. It just comes and goes but it is very loud when its there. I had a previous post but didnt really get much out of it. could this be weak lifter, or a weak pump? maybe a blockage somewhere on the top side. it just baffles me that it comes and goes and only does it when a moderate rpm is held for a bit. thanks for the help | ||

much over idle speed its good. check the drive gear by pulling the pump | ||

mine has had 10-15psi forever 35000 on the bike and nothing oil related has went wrong. | ||

Fixed it> the oil return line was to short and restricting the flow. $4 fix |
