hey all-
I just bought a 99 X1 and it had a power commander in it. I just got done pulling that thing out, but it looks like the PO installed a different O2 sensor as well. the sensor has a 4 wire plug, and the factory connector only looks to have 1 wire. I'd like to put a factory style O2 sensor back in.

I searched but came up with nothing- what's a cross-reference part number for this sensor, so I can go to the local parts store and buy one?

thanks in advance, I know all too well that I owe this community a great debt for your input!

65970-99Y

from my '02 X1 parts book.

I've been told that any O2 sensor that fits in the hole will work. Personally I'd rather spend the money on the RIGHT part just to be sure. If a different sensor is designed to output different voltage levels at various A/F values, then your ECM isn't going to be getting good information.

I have been using the Bosch PN 15716 in my 02 X1 with a Power Commander. "The X1 Files" is a good reference sight for Buells.

well I ditched the power commander, so I need a 1 wire not a 4 wire. thanks for the link to the X1 files- I found what I was looking for in time there- a Bosch 12014.

thanks!

I just recently installed an new O2 sensor, but I used the Bosch 12014. Works great, no problems so far.
