The tail would sit on the frame but the seat didn't want to line up just right with his tank. Maybe he got some pics of it that he could post. The S3 is about 3 inches longer and then turns down about 5 inches. The tail light and tag bracket bolt through the rear of the frame. If you had a S3t this is the rear support for the bag mounts. I have a S3 that at one time ran a M2 tail and had to cut the rear of the frame off to make it work. If you put the S3 tail on a M2 you would have to figure out what to do with the tail light.   Kmbuell Posted on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 - 10:11 am:        Numb_nuts is correct. I'm in the process of putting S3 bags on my M2. Not nearly as easy as it looked in the parts books. I looks like a bolt on. It is not! I'm making up two different sets of aluminum mounting brackets and will still have to make up two additional welded tube btackets to get everything to mount up and be solid. I'm using the main S3T bracket, but I can't use the S3T tail piece that stabilizes the bags forside to side movement. I want to keep the M2 tail light in the factory location and use the stock turnsignals. I will need to drop the signals slightly, and may need to build small standoffs to get them to fit lower on the M2 plate bracket. The rear of the frames are way different! Be aware.
