There have been reports of ethanol in gasoline damaging fiberglass fuel tanks in boats.

It seems to affect the polyester resin used in many fiberglass fuel tanks more than epoxy resin.

Has this been a problem on fiberglass fuel tanks on early Buells?

The fuel tanks are not fiberglass, just the fuel tank cover is fiberglass.

Glad to know that.

I was concerned because I didn't know that the fiberglass was a cover over a plastic tank.

One less reason to put off looking for an S2....

Thanks,

Dave
