I would like to get a bit more "upright" riding position in my X1. I did adjust the angle a little but I am wondering if the risers would be the ultimate solution. Has anyone tried the 3/4" or 1" risers from American Sport Bike? I am 6'2". Would that make the riding position too cramped? Just need some input.
Thanks.

M2 S3 bars would probably be cheaper.

S3T bars are 1-1/4" taller than the standard S3 bar which is 1' taller then the X1.

Gauge to flyscreen fit will change when using risers on an X1.

Part#s for the throttle and clutch cables are the same between the X1,S3,S3T so you won't have to worry about length issues.

I don't know about an X1 but I put the 1" risers on my M2 and they work great and were super easy to install. I first thought to change to a taller bar but there would have been a problem with the clutch cable fouling the tach. I can recommend the risers.

S3T and Blast bars are the same and higher than the M2's. Also the M2's cables and wiring work just fine using the higher bars. I know I've done it.

I had a chance to sit on an X1 with the Rox risers. Not only does it raise the bar but gives you the ability to rotate the bars and the risers.

I bought a set from Precision Engineering (BW sponsor) to raise my Crossroads bars up a bit. They were very reasonable. It worked out very well with no cable changes but the bars sat lower than stock to begin with

Thanks for all the input. I'd rather not move all the controls over to a new bar so the risers seemed like an easier approach.
I think 1" should be perfect considering the flyscreen fittment and cable slack, etc.

FWIW, I'm running two of the 1" risers from American Sport Bike on my M2 (needed to get longer allen bolts to make it work). I'm also running Fly ATV race bend bars as I wanted something wider than stock.
Everything fits, and there are no cable issues.

Great. Thanks for the picture. You also answered my other question. So I gather that the 1" riser(a single set not double like yours) will work with the stock allen bolts.

Nope. The risers from American Sport Bike come with longer bolts.

Can you run 2 sets of the 1" American Sportbike Risers on an X1 without any mods to the fly screen or cables? I have a 2000 X1 and installed the 1" risers but I think I want to go even higher for yet more comfort I know my 1" risers came with longer allen bolts but I will obviously need even longer ones if I put a second set of 1" risers on. What are the specs of the longer allen bolts I will need, and or where can I buy those bolts? THANKS !
