If I am reading the manual correctly it says they should be torked to 18 ft lbs...
That does not sound nearly eanough...

18-20ftlbs - Large screws
10-12ftlbs - Small screws

This is for the X1 inverted forks. Too much pressure and you can collapse the fork tubes.

I think he means the FRONT bolt to attach the REAR shock.

I'd come over and help out Pete, but I'm afraid that as soon as I leave, you'd pull all the parts back off to install your belt
