Hi everyone,
I,m new to this site & to Buells in general. I was reading the other thread about TDman77 Catch can from Pegasus. Is there a Vent in this can..? If so, can I mount a breather directly to it, or do I run a hose with a breather on the end..? Where do I run the hose..? Do I even need a breather? What is everyone doing..?
Also... I run this can from my force intake..correct..? eliminating the chrome tube that now runs into the bottom of the air filter..? Then plug THAT hole..?
I know these are alot of questions...
Thank you in advance!

Jzito - You are pretty much correct. The catch can has 2 intake fittings one on top and one on the side near the top. Most are using a small breather filter on one fitting and the line from the breather bolts to the other fitting. I have mine set up like this. Do a search in the Knowledge Vault on catch can. There are a number of threads there where people have use everything from beer bottles to coffee cans. By using a catch can you are redirecting the crank case gases from going back into the intake. It's suppose to give a tiny bit of power but mainly keeps your intake from getting all oily.

TDman,
I just looked @ yours again. I now see the hose running down the left side of your bike. Where does that hose end up..?

I have my filter tuck up under chin spoiler out of sight. If you look you can see the hose running down there. This is a great site and there are tons of good folks here. Use the search it will answer lots of questions and when you can't find an answer then give us a shout out.
I am pretty new to the Buell community also. I have been riding for about 15yrs all mainly on jap sport bikes. My last bike was a 05GSXR1K turbo (R.I.P.), very fast but not the torque monster like this X1. These V-twins are a totally different beast!
