Do they sell air filters at Autozone for motorcycles? Preferably a 97 cyclone? Can i use a car airfilter for my bike?

It's the airfilter on the side that looks like an icecream cone, that's the only way i can describe it. I think it's stock.

If its the Forcewinder like Brinnutz's pic then I don't imagine a standard automotive paper filter would stand up to the elements like the proper K&N would. But I'm no expert. However Autozone should have access to K&N's full filter lineup and could order you the correct filter. I know they are not exactly cheap but they are made to last and who wants to take chances with your intake.

Just take the filter in with you.

Wait..Why replace it? K&N are washable?!?!?!

Get the recharge kit for it!

Ok i'm going to have to be "grasshopper" and learn from the seasoned riders such as yourselves. Ok my first question is what is that filter good for? Because i bought my bike from a private seller and he just gave me a heads up that i might want to replace the filter in about a month or 2. It's a bit dirty looking and run down a bit. But yea, what are they good for if you don't mind me askin. I'm so new.

they flow great and have a million mile guarantee!!

just clean with simple green, and re-oil once dry.

i tried to buy just the filter some years ago, to make a cheaper version forcewinder, K&N doesn't sell that filter, exclusive to Force!

but they do make a universal that will work.

Don't waste your money on the cheap filter. I had one on my bike and the rubber boot ripped and the air filter fell off and now I have a K&N filter. The fiter can be wash though and the K&N recharge kit you should be able to get at any auto store and there is directions on the box on how to wash the fiter.

Actually we found one pretty darned close on the K&N web site, in Oct. 2007, but Djkaplan actually ordered it, so I don't know how exact a match it was. The 'universal' one matched every dimension listed of the ones on our Forcewinders. I can't find the number handy.
