Been having a shifting issue since picking up the s2 last summer. At high rpm shifts it would take 2-4 tries to get the next gear going up. Tried the easy fixes, different fluid, clutch adjust, primary chain tension, but none of those helped. The strange part was it only happened at rpms over 4500. Pulled it all apart over the weekend and found a missing spring on the shifter pawl, so the pawl was just hanging loose. I am guessing that harmonic vibration at higher rpms would cause the pawl to jump around until it just happened to catch the shifter drum pegs. So I just need to track down a new spring and I will be back on the road.
