If you have a little extra cash for it, you should convert to XB rockerboxes and Cometic Gaskets, because they're resusable. Cometic just came out with the XB gaskets a couple months ago, or at least new version if they had them before. The covers are available from Buell for about $60 each IIRC.

If you're reusing the old rubber gaskets you should have clamped them back into the rockers when it was apart. If you didn't, you can freeze them and they will shrink down to fit.
If you're using new ones (recommended for all but tight-wads like me), just be sure not to knock the small middle one out of place.

BUELLers:

"FYI" the gaskets used on BUELL rocker arm covers are the same as the EVO SPORTSTERS to 2002 which are;

GASKET,cylinder head(between cover that holds rocker arms and head which combine the 16778-84A & 16779084B into one gasket) PN 16800-84 ...

GASKET,rocker cover-lower PN 17353-89 ...

GASKET,rocker cover-upper PN 17354-89 ...

GASKET,rocker cover-inner PN 17358-84A

The XB rocker covers do not use GASKET,rocker cover-upper PN17354-89 and all else remains the same ...

The "NEOPRENE" gaskets, if in good shape can be put in freezer for 2 hours and re-used !!!

THESE GASKETS ARE "EVO SPORTSTER" PART NUMBERS AN CAN BE PURCHASED AT ANY HARLEY-DAVIDSON DEALER !!!

BUELLers:

When the 2000 "BLAST" P3 came out and just before the second cylinder was added calling the engine an XB,"i" put the "BLAST" PVC valves in my 1997 S3T OEM rocker covers ...

If anyone wants pictures and could post them, "i" will e-mail them to whom ever ...
