Well, I got some time last weekend to work on the "pile". After reading about some people making their own wave rotors and even one using a Dremel to do it I checked my piggy bank and then decided to move forward. I was always worried about the balancing with modifying a stock one, but after reading the Dremel guy doing it I said what the hell.  Its not quite the design I wanted but since my bench grinder isn't the most precision tool for the job I kept it simple. Plus I didn't want to get too complicated and risk warping it. i bet i could make a stencil on CAD, then lay it on the rotor trace the outside line then have at it....i just shucked out the cash for a braking waev rotor though  | ||

The wave rotor is supposed to increase the perimeter of the outside edge of the rotor to increase cooling. If it works, great. My concern would be that rough edges would chew up the pads. | ||

this is an after market one, to state the obvious. but if you look at how it is notched out around the outside like with 1/3 circle. i want to do the same with mine and then on the inside where i can, the same thing.  keith | ||

+2 on cracks, very likely to get cracking at the vertex of the angles, check frequently! | ||
