A little off topic; since I have decided on the X-1, and there's plenty to choose from at very good prices, should I opt for one with the PM wheels or the hollow three spoke version, which ones are lighter and would be better suited for racing? Any year better than another? The whole engine will be replaced eventually......

186, definitely go for the three spoke. If you have the resources get the older Marchesini three spokes. You can save over a pound per wheel compared to the PM's. Those are what I use for the track. Someone had posted the actual weights for all the tuber wheels a few years back. I can't find it. Good luck.

Hurricane, I forgot to ask are you using a S-1 or X-1 frame for your hammer replica?
