i just installed my 42 mikuni and the bike rides great the only problem is the throttle cable is to long and i have alot of play in throttle. so i rerouted it to try to shorten it and i loosened the housing as much as possible but theres about an inch of play. i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so how do i fix it????

Was the carb for a Buell or sportster? If not they have different throttle mounting brackets. I had to make a sleeve for my cables when I installed a CV carb off a Big Twin.

How about some stainless ones?

http://www.shopv-twincycles.com/shop/productdetail .htm?productId=5940164&ez=buell~q=ssaabuellzz~r=~, buell~q=ssaabuellzz~r=~,buell~q=ssaabuellzz~r=~#30 4346

But yes, did you use the adapter, otherwise get those, if you don't want the stainless ones, I have a set of black ones I could sell ya, since I'm going to get the stainless ones anyways.
