Anyone know of any aftermarket lights that replace the screens in the tail section as directionals? Anyone ever seen it done? It'd streamline and cleanup the tail area. Seems like it'd be straightforward enough to fabricate.

Look through the knowledge vault. I'm just taking a quick look at Badweb during lunch or I'd find it. In short, take the reflector/socket from an existing turn signal and trim it to fit in the area behind the screen. Buy yellow lens material from your friendly car parts dealer and trim to fit. I haven't done it myself (yet) but it does look much nicer.

Check with Xodot. He seems to have done that from his profile. Seems like a great idea except that they would only be visible from behind the vehicle. I don't know if they would pass inspection but I guess that depends on where you live. I'm thinking of the same thing for my S3. I'll post what I did if I do it first.

I "sold" a tailpiece that had the mod done to it. Maybe I'll try again for payment, and get some pics while I'm at it.
