Is there a difference between the fuel injection and carb'd timing trigger rotors?

This on came off an X1 engine


Should a carb'd one look like the one at the bottom of this page?http://www.nrhsperformance.com/partsignition.shtml

If so, does anyone have the stock carb'd rotor number and/or an HD corresponding number?

Also would the Ignition sensor assembly be any different in between the two?

The rotor cup on the carb'd engine only has two notches cut out. The one for the efi won't work with a standard ignition set up. Also the efi pick up is different. Sporty's and evo's used the cup you need. I switched mine to carb last year and just went thru this.

Get a Cyclone cup from a dealer or order one of the good ones from American Sport Bike.
They are different, if you don't change them out, the bike will run but VERY poorly.
The pickups are the same.

I testify that the bike runs very poorly with the fuel injection cup on a carb'd bike. I've been trying jetting and anything I could think of to fix it, but now I believe this is the problem. I'm glad to hear that the pickup is the same. I believe that the HD cup number is 32402-83. I'll check if my local dealer has any tomorrow.

Wow...$3.85 solved all of my problems that I have been having for the past month. Having the correct parts is a good thing. Now the bike actually runs, actually runs really well. Thanks for all the help.
