Just picked up a 2000 S3 with 11.5K on it. The owner feels the ignition switch is bad but before coming to that conclusion put a new Battery in it. He lost interest in it after buying his K model BMW. Prior to losing interest, he put on a paint job new Metzler M3s, new brakes, new isos front and back, new belt, Jims gears in the trans, stage 2 headwork and a Corbin seat. Once I dope out the electric issue that is hopefully the ignition switch(Bike does not turn over)what else should I look for?

Look at upgrading the headlight, the light output is marginal at best. An HID system is an amazing transition. Depending on your weight you may want to upgrade front springs and shock valving and there is always the infamous rear shock that is not speced for anyone over 150 lbs.

The previous owner had the shock replaced under recall and the front springs were replaced with hvy duty ones. We are about the same weight
