Joesbuell, I think I have been following your rebuild since about 2007. My favorite parts was the muffler you made. It just looked so good that I think it could stand by itself. The bike is just fantastic. I always wanted to ask you what the most challenging part of that build was?
I hope we get to see your handy work again. I must say, I never get tired of looking at your bike. |

Jodie, great job on the bike everytime i see it i can't help but just stare, everything i love about the tubers and xb's in one amazing package.
simply put.....if a dozen of these showed up at the dealer tomorrow i'd be first in line to buy one!

Thankyou all 
There were many challenges with the build, I just tackled one after the other. The rear pulley mod was a biggy as my lathe was just a smig to small so I modified it! Oil lines, rear swingarm fitment, front end, rear subframe(major pita) battery tray etc etc just so many!
Would I do it all again? you bet!
I can't wait to start on the single sided swingarm. I have to wait until I can get a tube bender, Ducati rear wheel and sprocket/hub etc. I see this as a life time project.

Got the RapidBikes mag in the mail Friday Jodie. Front cover mention, wayyyy cool. Very nice write-up. You and the bike look good in motion. Thanks again for the mag-which blows most US mags out of the water(RRW being the exception) |

Now we have just purchased an 09 Buell XB12XT Blue in colour for now.....
I guess I will have to start a thread in the Ugly section!
Our son Locky thinks I'm the greatest bike builder ever and my other 2 are just too young to understand at the moment.

congrats on the new bike jodie. the xt is the one i've been waiting for, for what i like to have in a bike. just need cruise control and some sort of stereo set up. the wife likes the space that she has on it and i just like it. it's not the m2 but it's the next best thing. |

After the test ride Neil I was hooked on the XT. Excellent ride postion, comfy seat which the mutant has not! We can't wait until next Tuesday to take delivery! |

Don't think I've ever posted about it, but I've spent more than my share of time ogling your bike. I'm all about taking something stock and modyfying it to fit your personal needs/ tastes.
For your tubing bender... Check out GotTrikes.com Best bender I've found anywhere. Just buy the blueprints cheap, he e-mails them to you, and you're ready to start building. Made my own in just over a day, and that included drilling all the holes by hand. Works great. Been thinking about a custom single-side myself... |
