I've seen it done a lot and I figure it would be easy enough to do, but I wanted to see if anyone has ever attempted to do so and encountered problems. Is there any major roadblock to overcome? |

That's exactly where mine is, just be sure to make a little cover of some sort on the inside because key chains, wallets, tools WILL now congregate to that side of the under tray and WILL jam the lock........... don't ask me how I know. |

I just ran the "s" part of the cable for the lock out of the the tray's drain hole. Nobody knows what it is and I pull it and voila! My seat pops up. |

I relocated my lock to just behind the plate and have had no problems with it. Just make sure the cable is not pinched or bent to assure smooth operation. You can't see it in this pic (I don't have a pic with the right angle) but it is just behind the "2" on the plate.
