The S2 came with some after market foot pegs that I didn't like. I noticed the Nightster and V-rod had some stock pegs that I thought would fit the bike real well. The dealer wanted $33 per peg...Ouch! I started searching ebay and the H-D guys like to replacing them, so they can be had at a pretty fair price as take offs. I put a set on the S2 and S3T.     | ||

Loren, they look great and functional. I wonder if Lynn would notice if I took them off her bike LOL... I run the stock ones on my S2s but those look great. | ||

Frank, sure do it! Swap your stock pegs for Lynn's Nightster pegs. She'll never notice.  The stock pegs for my S2 came in a bag with the bike. I just couldn't bring myself to putting those on the bike. The bike's styling deserves better. LOL | ||

I ordered pins, springs, and clips, from the S3T parts catalog, to upgrade the peg mounting from being bolted and floating and spring loaded. I installed last night and it took some of the vibrations out of the foot pegs. I also install the Touring Peg Mounts. I like them!    I ordered the tall Touring bars too, but will be a little while before I have time to install them. They are "Fresh", notice the date on the label.   | ||

With minor changes of the pegs and handle bars the S2 is a completely different bike. I am amazed at how much difference there is between my S2 and S2-T. | ||

So the s3t springloaded setup, does that mean your pegs are always up when not in use, or do the springs hold them down? Does the kit work with any footpeg? Are the lowering pegs an s2 part or an s3 part? And how much did they cost? I installed tall bars and lowered pegs on my 95 and it made a very different riding position that should be better for the long rides. | ||

Not the best photo, but it's the same peg on my S3T. Pegs are spring loaded down and flip up with pretty light pressure. I think it will work on any pegs that fit the mounts on the bike.  The Touring peg mounts are an S2T part and cost $64.15 each list $51.32 each at one of the online H-D dealers web sites. It is amazing what such a small change in peg location and handle bar locations do for riding distance riding comfort and how the bike feels. | ||

I've had V-Rod pegs for a while now and love 'em; I'm still looking for a cheap pair for the rear. I got my pair at a swap meet for $10. I hate the scrape bar thingies, however functional, so I took them off. | ||

Ross, watch ebay. I picked up two sets(4)of pegs for about 1/3 of retail price. They are way under wanted by the H-D crowd. | ||
