I'm on board with most here but there is one thing to think about. A lean mixture will make very good HP and torque numbers in most cases I have seen but is damaging the engine with high heat. An overly rich condition will rob HP and torque numbers because the fuel is burning at a lower temperature. Are you sure the dyno guy has things set up correctly and his sniffer is working properly? I get a sneaking feeling you need to re-tune and bring those injector numbers down instead of trying to add more fuel.

"A lean mixture will make very good HP and torque numbers in most cases"

I was thinking of the same thing. On my model race boat engines I make the mixture as lean as safely possible (e.g., before things start glowing red) and that's where I get maximum power.
Needless to say, engine temperature is also a good sign/measure of A/F ratio.

The sniffer they put in the tail pipe wasnt reading properly. So they plugged the Sensor right into the bung where the o2 sensor went and thats when the readings started coming through properly. Im going to check for the intake leaks and the fuel system. Im gonna pull my plugs and see what they are looking like as well. Havnt pulled them since i put the intake on and retuned.

I'm sorry but nothing about that statment or your problem adds up, it almost sounds like the equipment you're using is bad. which would explain alot.

you've maxed out your settings and are getting bad numbers... sign of WAY too rich like stated above. you then say that they were having problems with the sniffer... which would have been red flag #1 for me.

personally, i would get a second opinion.

Just my .02, HOPE YOU STRAIGHTEN EVERYTHING OUT!

After running checks on the intake seals and checking all the fuel delivery found no problems. But, pulled the plugs to discover that i was running nice and rich!!!!!!!!!! So gonna reset to stock then use ECMSPY and Megalog Viewer to Remap once the weather breaks. Thanks for all the input guys lesson learned check it all yourself for an honest answer. I want to put Power cones in the Exhaust Headers to give me some back pressure. The Force pipe is straight through with no baffle. Wondering what peoples thoughts are on that?????

i've seen the dyno charts comparing bikes with the power cones and bikes without them, actually it was a buell with a force pipe and a XL1200C with some V&H IIRC.

The bottom line is that it won't help AT ALL. the best you can do for a force pipe is run the street baffle that plugs into the END of the pipe... either that or a different exhaust... which I personally wouldn't do.

Glad to hear you figured it out!

Heres the dyno chart and review...

I believe some of our sponsers have come to the same conclusions as well... but i'm having trouble finding more proof.
