Bike is back together after oil pump drive gear and oil hose replacement. I’m thinking of cranking engine to get oil pumped through entire system. I’d pull plugs, connect them to plug wires and ground plugs to cylinders. I’d prefer not to have fuel injected into cylinders while cranking it over. Should I disconnect electrical connection from/to tank to prevent fuel flow? Any chance of causing problems by doing this? Anything else I should be aware of?

No issues disconnecting the fuel pump to roll the engine over.

Good idea..

that is how i release the pressure before i do repairs, i just run the bike until it stalls. Also you could put it in 5th gear and turn the wheel to prime but it will take longer.

I agree with Preybird's idea.

Done deal. With plugs out and grounded and no fuel, I cranked it over with starter. Watching return port inside oil tank, I could see it spit and sputter briefly and then a strong, solid flow. Cranked just a bit longer then just for luck.

Nice.
Good to know everything is hooked up right before the button is pushed for the first time, eh?
