Author Message   Eshardball Posted on Saturday, February 28, 2009 - 08:23 pm:        I just put my new Pit Bull rear stand to use and noticed that my rear caliper(Nissan) was leaned over so that my pads are worn very uneven. When I took everything apart, I found that the front hole in the caliper mount is missing the rubber boot and is very egged out allowing the caliper to be substantially not parrallel to the axle. Is there a new bushing kit available to fix this or is my caliper mount now a paperweight?I couldn't find anything on this in the KV   Skntpig Posted on Sunday, March 01, 2009 - 12:44 pm:        I will have to try to look at mine after work tonight. Looking it up, a brand new caliper assembly (can't get the bracket by itself but it's included with the new caliper) only lists for $115, with new pads installed ("loaded" caliper).   Skntpig Posted on Sunday, March 01, 2009 - 08:39 pm:        I had a steel swingarm on my S1 and switched to an aluminum one and it bolted right up with the stock brakes and mount.   Eshardball Posted on Sunday, March 01, 2009 - 10:16 pm:        Thanks guys. I drilled out the caliper mount and pressed a bronze bushing into the aluminum with a big C clamp. I just have to come up with a boot to keep the dirt out of where the pin rides in the bushing so that the condition does not re occur.The brake works but I have to replace the back pads as they are now worn at an angle and only the top side of one and the bottom of the other are doing anything to stop the bike.
