What sag do you run on the front of your X1? Or any tuber with uprated springs for that matter?

I've put Racetech springs in my X1 and they're longer than standard. I've cut the spacers down as much as I dare. If I go any further I'm worried the plastic spacers will come out of the inner fork tubes at full extension and possibly jam the forks at full extension. I haven't measured it exactly, but sag from full extension to me onboard is probably 20-25mm, which seems like too little.

Any thoughts or experiences to share?

cheers,
chili

I would think you want a little more sag. My S1 manual had the recommended sag so check yours.

I had mine rebuilt at traxxion dynamics. http://www.traxxion.com/

Well worth the cost. I just gave them my riding style and weight.

You can also buy a book on suspension tuning there too.

GMD computrac is also very experienced.

I'm not affiliated, just a happy consumer.

I don't know of any vendors here that work on forks.

Thanks. It does need more sag, and it looks like I've selected springs which are too stiff for my weight. I found a local suspension place which can get the springs I need.

Careful with racetech springs. I bought racetech and when they were measured with a spring dyno they showed weaker than specified.

You might check this out if they have that machine to check the springs. The ones you have might work.
