spotted this on ebay.. I know they're pretty rare so someone here might want to snatch it up.

I've only seen one once at homecoming on an X1.

Sounded good without being too loud.

I would imagine the mounts are nearly bulletproof since they are two separate headers. There's a lot less force that can be twisting on the exhaust studs and other mounting points.

Probably due to scavenging, but how much loss and where in the powerband?

Didn't have much luck with my bubs.

Seat-of-the-pants hp was down mostly off the bottom.
Sounded (to me of course) like they were running under water.
Within a year one mount broke and one cracked where it exits the head.

They are hanging in a corner of the garage and don't have the heart to throw them away....yet!!

I have a set that I am willing to part with for $80 plus shipping....they are in good shape but do have a few stains from use. They have about 4000 miles on them.
You can hear them here:

Don't do it,we had one come through our shop to tune and it was down on power, nice dip in the power down low, never made as much as a good race can or V&H etc. It ran much better when it left but it's like the Harley guys with drag-pipes,looks over performance.

I'm not sure if i would agree with all the lost power stuff...

After having the Bubs, a V&H pipe and stock on my bike I'd say they shift the power band down low instead of losing power. The Bubs certainly feel more responsive on the the bottom end over the Vance and hines pipe. When I put the V&H pipe on I was almost gonna take it back off because of how much low end torque I lost. I agree that with other pipes you will see more upper HP but you will not see the torgue gains on the bottom like the Bubs provide...it's all in how you ride your bike and where YOU want your power. If you wanna pull like train off the line, then the bubs do a good job...

If FMJ says don't. Then don't do it, He's very right.

I have this old vance and hines carbonfiber can. It made more power and torque. Until it blew up and melted in only 700 miles what a mess the packing made. I loved the sound and power it made. Now i have a supertrapp and i don't like it at all, Im saving for the d and d system instead.

Hey hows the knee FMJ!

when i bought my s1w used, it had bubs on it. also had the s1 header w/ v&h. the bubs broke and cracked all over the place. i got sick of hearing them rattle, and welding them back together. looked good, sound good. when i put the v&h set up on i couldnt believe the difference. bubs felt like there was a loss in power. who ever said it, is right. buells like back pressure. i trashed the bubs. i wouldnt waste my $ on another set. as soon as the weather warms past 45, i plan on puttin the pro series set up on i have had for year.
