Hi.

I've tried to search the threads, but I can't seem to find anything about mounting XB headers on a tuber. I have seen Joe (Joesbuell) have done this on his bike, but it would have really nice if someone can give some details around this.

Thanks.

Thomas.

I think the problem you will run in too is your rear shock will be in the way.

joesbuell is able to do it because he has a xb rear end

Ok, thanks.

I've just borrowed some XB headers, so I can
see for real if its even possible to make it fit without too much cuztomizing...

I hope you are wrong though...

what would the benifit be? are the primary tubes a bigger diameter? is the collector a bigger diameter?

I'm not knockin your idea, but i think the difference between X1 and Xb headers are just the way they fit. but I don't know for sure.

I don't know if there will be any benefits at all, its just that I can get the headers I've just borrowed for free if I can make'em fit without cutting them in pieces. I just don't like the shape of my stock M2 headers and when I'm going to trim the camcover I would like the tubes to be out of the way...and if they won't fit I will go with the X1 headers.

the x1 headers are the same as the m2 headers except that the x1 header have a hole in them for the 02 sensor

Not if you own an M2 from '97 with stock headers...
