in the knowledge vault the whole s1 manual is there in pdf format, i am not sure if it covers the white lightning though, or if there is much difference between the two wiring diagrams?

I don't think the owners manual has wiring in it. I'll have to look, but I'm pretty sure I have a shop manual for my 98 (I know I have 'em for my 92 S2 and my 06 Uly). What portion are you working on, and I can help guide you through maybe?

Fig 7-85 on page 7-59 covers S1 & S1W. If you can't find it, PM me and I will scan it at work and email it to you on Monday. My scanner at home won't handle the double page

Thanks guys, I'm rewiring the whole bike custom harness. just wanted to see what I don't need. Making sure I don't throw something away that I will need later.
