What do you guys think the pros and cons are about changing out the steel swing arm for the alum one.I have all the parts to do it. Got a good deal on the parts. my bike is a 1997 S-1 lightning

I changed mine out some years back for looks. A minor grind underneath where the swingarm was hitting the swingarm mount was all that was needed.

I did mine and it was a direct swap.

You might as well do the swingarm bearings while you're in there. I have a 97 S1
