Better wear tight fitting clothes on that one.

Looks like you're right leg would get melted.

Marchesini or whatever their called.

They're sweet, but they don't really make any road tires that fit the rear rim anymore.

The 5-spoke design looks good on the S1's. Must be that 16.5" dia. rear wheel you speak of... makes it really hard to find any tires other than racing tires.

Back to the original post, try an external-disc Supertrapp. It's more of a thrum than a boom sound - I had one on my S2 for a while but found a way to adapt a race can to it, so I did. Also, with the ED design, you can alter the sound to your taste by adding (louder) or removing (quieter) discs.

The underseat stuff looks like a seat-heater kit, lol.

Staintune made a complete exhaust for the tubers, aren't they out of Oz?

Maybe you could find a nice used system down there, they're supposed to have a nice mellow tone.

Here is a cafe HD with a similar setup. Interesting. It is on E-bay right now to check out exhaust.

Staintune are Australian littlebuggles , but as far as I know only made the cans, which they no longer do.

Anyhow what looks better than the standard setup? = nothing IMO ,it has form and function.

I think the new bikes with the frame/gas tank look like crap!, but to each his own. Sorry but I wanted to prove a point, we all have an opinion that is negative but no-one really wants to hear it, it does nothing constructive. This was just a forum to show some different exhausts and there is always someone who brings it to insults so everyone hears thier "superior" opinion.

I like the tubers, I also like the Ducati Monsters dual look also, one on each side. It brings the center of gravity up though. The older exhausts are getting harder to get, and variety is waning and they will only get harder as time passes. I like to see bikes with more than the usual setup, Forcewinder,V&H exhaust,Mikuni. Horsepower does not vary too much, they are within 1-2 hp having different components until you really go 1250cc+, heads, cams, compression, etc, so why cookie cutter your bike. There is a bottomline, we all love these bikes and have our most favorites and our least. Lets keep it positive and learn. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is something to a Buell owner that cannot be explained.

It can't be HP, Hayabusa=197hp. There are better handlers, better brakers, cheaper bikes, smoother bikes, Most of the Dealers suck ass even if they sell them, so we Buell people are a different breed.

buellsnbeer, one of the main reasons i dont like the low slung upswept exhaust ideas is that if the bike goes down the first impact will be with the swingarm, how much damage this will cause i dont know but i would rather it not hit it due to repair costs

keep your faith in something different!

If you're worried about your swingarm, just put a set of rear sliders on.
They work.

Keith at Dark Horse has them.

zack, frame and axle sliders are a great add on, but with those low slung upswept exhausts i think the pipe would hit before the slider.

I thought you were saying that with the upswept pipe, you'd hit the swingarm, of course the pipe would be toast.
Sliders would still protect the swingarm...

Well the Harley XR1200 WILL be in the US in 2009. Check out the exhausts. They might be options if anyone is interested with small mods in mounting.

Remus, Termignoni, Scorpion SS, Supertrapp.
