Howdy folks, my buddy and I were on a tour of Death Valley, Mojave National Preserve and Joshua Tree National park. Well the roads there are a very rough surface. I thought I had maybe 2000 miles left on my rear tire, turned out to be 800 miles left.
The closes large town was Pahrump Navada.
We pulled into town. Its dark, its late and its cold and just happen to see Pahrump Cycle Tyre.
The last guy is leaving the parking lot after closing up for the day and asks what we need, then calls the owner David Turner and says " He's a Buell nut, he'll be here in 15 minutes.
5 minutes later David drives up. He is happy to open up the shop again and install a new tire for me.
We spent the next hour talking and laughing about motorcycles, politics, women and motorcycles, while a cast of locals dropped in to say hello, including David lovely wife Lisa.
Not to sound too much like a commercial, but Pahrump Cycle Tyre saved our vacation.

Thanks again David and Lisa.

David is top notch I meet him in Vegas last October during the American Sport Bike get together that Al Lighton threw after we attended the Inside Pass there.

While I'm not on the network for assistance I'll still open my shop for a traveller in need. Glad to be of service, it was fun for me to!

BTW that was on New Years day, the shop was closed I was at an auction buying a new gun(1911 auto), the guy leaving the shop was my brother in law,who had just returned from Dumont Dunes(he's from Michigan and has never seen anything like that), he had left his car there. He called my wife who had left moments before, she called me at the auction two blocks away and I flew to the shop to open it for a very big guy on a very bald tire!
the rest is history.
