I was starting up my X1 today, after it stalled out a time or two (not a huge concern it hasn't been started for a few weeks) it sputtered and stalled letting out a "puff" of white vapor from the forcewinder intake. The last time I rode it it did the same thing. Both times it had sat for a few weeks since it's winter and I don't get too many chances to ride it this time of year. My question is, is this anything to worry about? Is something adjusted wrong? or is this just something it will do after sitting for a while? |

I didn't think it would be too big of a deal. Thanks for the reassurance. |

It sounds like just from sitting. Yeah the bang ones BACKFIRE!! I toasted an air filter like that. I always anticipate a little smoke on any engine after storage, Oil has a strange way of getting into the cylinder and mixture of oil and gas can stall the engine making a puff of smoke or a huge cloud as my old carbed 74 imperials do! Are you using any fuel stabilizers? It only takes gas 6 weeks to start breaking down. |

no, no stabilizers. When I say it sat for a while it was only like 2-4 weeks in between rides. True I don't go through an entire tank when I get it out but I don't think that this should be a huge deal. Hell my truck sits for just as long between drives, sometimes longer. |
