It seems like the right side of the tach has been really dark since I bought the bike. I asked a dealer about it once and was told that no bulbs are burnt out, but one is not getting enough voltage (in my other experiences - not the greatest technical knowledge from this dealer)

It doesn't bother me unless I'm riding at night away from any city lights. Just figured I'd ask before I take the dash apart and look for the problem.

At this point I'm not motivated enough to work on such a small issue anyway

The gauges come out easily enough - pull your flyscreen and there's either 2 or 3 nuts that hold it in the cup. Once it's out of the cup, the bulbs pop right out of the back with a quarter-twist.

Could be that one of the factory yellow-rubber "bulb condoms" has gone crispy and is blocking light. I pull all of those off my lights anyway, I'd rather have brighter, white gauges than yellow anyway.
