Kind of an odd topic I know, but I'm looking for an FM tuner with specific features to mount on my S2. The closest thing I've found thusfar is the J&M Integratr IV, which would seem perfect, it but uses batteries, it's portable, and has no means to directly wire it into the electric system in the bike. I want something that

1. Does not use speakers mounted on the bike.
2. Has aux. inputs that allow me to integrate my iPhone with the system (my iPhone will have a dash or bar mount and charge cable wired into the bike so I can use its GPS).
3. Either has outputs for headphones with mics or is Bluetooth compatible for such devices.

If you have any ideas, please let me know. And yes, when my S2T is done it will have more wires than Carver has peanuts.

That device is nice, and would work if it weren't for one problem: one of the few downsides to the iPhone is that you cannot listen to the iTunes via Bluetooth. I have yet to see a software update to include such feature for any Bluetooth headset. However, if it is plugged into an FM receiver via Aux. in, and the fm tuner is Bluetooth compatible, I can listen to the iTunes on my phone that way.

Take a look at this one. I've had the original for years and it works great for phone, can't attest to the FM portion. You can get incoming calls on IPhone, but it does not support voice dial, so you can't do outgoing on the go.

Interesting. What's the battery life on it? Can I charge it and use it at the same time? What type of plug does it charge with?

AS I said I only have experience with the basic unit, the phone portion battery will last for days on stand by and gives hours of talk time. The module snaps off the helmet mount and plugs in to an included charger, only takes a couple of hours to fully charge. I'm really pleased with the one I have.

I may end up going that route. I'd really to find something I can plug into the bike and have it run off the charging system, though, so I could listen to music and receive calls and stuff for LONG periods of time. When I rode home from Detroit I couldn't listen to music on my phone because the battery was too low and I needed the remaining life to make calls and stuff. I rode 14 1/2 hours the first day and 13 1/2 the second day. That's a LOT of boring time just listening to the humm of the motor, especially since I have a Force exhaust...

Call Cardo, they're helpful and they have a "car" charger that you could adapt or simply plug in if you have an outlet.

I peeked into J&M's website and found that they offer a power kit for the Integratr IV to plug into a cigarette lighter. With this I can hack off the adapter and hardwire the unit into my electrical system, so I will have no worries of battery life. It looks like I will be getting the Integrater IV.

I ordered my Cardo Q2 and a new helmet a week and a half ago. The shop in town is installing the speakers as part of the deal. Turns out it's been in and I didn't get the message. I'll give a review once I get it home.

Most of your MP3 players have FM tuners built in. Plus with upward of 60g of memory you can have music no matter the reception.

My MP3 player is my iPhone, which in all its features, does not have an FM tuner. Call me old fashioned, but once in a while I like to hear the funky commentary and random song list without having to mix my own stuff.
