In the Bat-cave. Thieves are so damn bad around here, it's location is unknown, even to me... |

Normally it would be in the walk-in basement shop but another project bike is using the space. As soon as I get done it will move itself from the garage to the shop and hang out next to it's buddy for the winter. I'll try and hang some pictures of warm places to minimize winter depression that may affect them. OH and make sure the windows are open and the wife is gone when you start the bikes in the house. |

on a stand in the garage...where it's been the last 3 months. It's broke, and I'm broke...so, kinda tough to fix it when you don't have the cash. Spent it all on aftermarket parts, then important stuff failed. |

What...we're suppposed to let them rest? My S1W (the least active / most 'preserved' of my bikes) does tend to spend most of its idle time on rear wheel stands, upright and covered. Having a 5th gear bearing dry out again (already did it once, soon after I got it) is always in the back of my mind so I try not to leave it on the sidestand where it can dry the bearing out from being "uphill". An extreme example, but when I bought the bike a little over 2 years ago it had *1,100* miles on it - LOTS of time on the sidestand, draining that bearing. Once we build the house we want to build...let's just say it'll have at-grade french doors into the great room. My wife thinks its just for the view |

AAAAAAAAaaaaaaacckkkkk!!!!! Poor MJ My bike will be in the garage this winter, I'll polish those parts looking dim from spending the last two winters outdoors. Maybe she'll see a few new parts too, just to make amends for the last couple winters parked in the snow. |

We don't hibernate in South Florida. In fact the best riding weather is yet to come. December - March is prime time! |

What is this word H-ib-er-nate? Mine only gets to stretch once every few weeks in the summer. Too hot. Riding season has just begun! Wife made me rip out the wood floor in the dining room, so now my bikes sit comfortably on it in the garage. |

In the garage with the ZX14, the K1100LT, my Brother's ZX10 and the MGB. All the toys keep each other company over the winter. DW |

In the shop under lock, key, regulated temperature and monitored alarm system...on display. The mutant is still in its first assembly mode in the workshop area next door, not ready for the showroom. |

Even here in NH, I find at least one day a month to ride. I may not ride far as I don't have heated gear or the right gloves or boots (all set with the rest of the gear needed for cold weather), but I do ride it enough to charge the battery and boil off any moisture in the oil. We do get cold streaks (and warm streaks)that cause me to miss one sometimes 2 months, but you never know in which month they will appear. |

I dunno Bird, that girl of yours sounds like a hand-full. She may not appreciate your idea of decor. My bike likes the idea of being dusted off every week and being a center piece in the shop. All shiny and purdy. |

Realistically, it resides in the back of my mind while Carb Cholesterol infests it's fuel system. If I had to assemble it would become a garage icon of my unspoken ambitions. |

I'm with Scott. There's generally one day a month in central Indiana above 50 and dry. Sometimes it seems to be at a time when I can't get out and ride, but I keep the bike ready to roll. Spidey, that's just painful to look at for me, can't imagine what it's like on your end. Looking forward to seeing pics of it back together. |
