Looks good, I got the same result just about my first time on my S1 header. You will love it!

Looks like crap, give it to me. I'll dispose of it properly.

Seriously though, looks great!

If you turn it on it's side you'd swear it was a skinny girl wearing a miniskirt.

Yeah you are right... it's been a while.

Looks very similar to my wrap'ing from what "i" can see...

"WELL DONE !!!"

How did you secure the wrap ends, "i" used safety wire and painted the wrap "RED" as "i" have a Gray 97S3T ...

I secured it all with stainless hose clamps. There is one on each small pipe right before the collector and hidden by the larger wrap, and then the one for the collector is hidden around the front.

Nice work.

I also put a hose clamp at the head-end of the pipes, to keep them from fraying if they get a wild hair. That, and some black hi-temp RTV worked into the loose ends to combat any fraying.

When I did mine, I did it a little differently than you (if I'm reading your post right) - I wrapped the rear headpipe from head to collector, stopped, clamped. Then wrapped the front headpipe, starting at the head and *continuing* through the collector (just transitioned into the larger wraps) and on to the muffler port. Less ends = less chance of fraying : )

Im gonna spray it with a few coats of the thermotec high temp coating as well today to seal the wrap and coat the exposed ends. Dad is wrapping up the carb rebuild and once we get a full service done i should finally get to ride the thing this weekend!
