Hi.Recently purchased a 2000 X1. Lots of fun so far! It came with the polished Performance Machine wheels. I'd like to find a rear pulley that looks closer to the wheel style. Any suggestions?

Keep your eyes open for the shark tooth pulley that was made to match the PM wheels. They occasionally come up in the classified or E-bay.
Some have modified their stock pullies with various results. I don't remember any matching the PM style.
Or you can look for aftermarket pullies made for the Sportster. This is what I did. Note that it won't be a bolt in because the center hole will need to be opened up to match the diameter of your stock pully. Also the thickness of the hub (of the pulley) may need to be altered to keep the centerline (left to right) of the pully in alignment. Check my signature to see how mine turned out. Good luck,

Boiler

Probaby the easiest/cheapest thing to do would be to strip the paint off of yours and polish it.

I know it wouldn't actually match the shape of the spokes but it would stick out as bad I would think.

My bike came with a chrome rear pulley (or may be it is just the cover)which looks very close (not the spoke design but the appearance)to the PM wheels on my bike. American Sport Bike sells a chrome rear pulley cover at a very reasonable price. I think that is what my bike has but not 100% sure. Call Al and ask him.

Click on the link under his pic and there's a thread about it. Short answer, from Joker. They cost over $250 and may wear the belt quickly cause the teeth are too sharp. But look really fine.

No Eric the teeth aren't to sharp, but the edge is. Just have to watch your alighnment stay away from the outside edge.

Found a decent style Sportster pulley I'd like get for my X1. Lists 2 versions. 99 & earlier or 2000 & later. What is the difference and/or which would be the easier fit?
