I'm trying to put the stock two bumpers under the front sides of the tank back in. Can anyone measure how far back from the front tank attachment point these are?

THANKS

I know someone has their tank off. I just don't want to epoxy these in the wrong spot.

here is what I did.

I put a small amount of vasoline into the holes they rest at in the tank.

Removed the stick tape and placed them into there resting holes.

Then mounted the tank.

The ones I have have been removed and don't have any adhesive tape left.

I just don't want to have to special order these little rubber pieces. I guess I could just do your trick with glue on the bottom instead of the sticky tape.

Thanks,

Go to an autoparts store, and get some weatherstrip adhesive. Comes in a tube, it's cheap(ish) and will hold pretty much forever.

I'll measure today when I'm out in the garage, gotta fab some muffler brackets today anyway....
