Hi,
I am looking to install Andrews N4 cams in my 2002 S3T, and their website says "Slightly higher idle speed but stock springs and hydraulic lifters are recommended. RPM range: 2000-6000." Will my bike still idle OK at 1,000 RPM?
Thanks!

Andrews makes the cams for H-D/BUELL's and are the OEM Cams(N4) in the S3 Models ...

If you want to make this cam a better performer put in CRANE 1.75 to 1 ratio rockers arms which are a easy bolt in ...

If you are going to REV. LIMIT at 64K RPM the OEM valve springs are fine, but if you do put in stronger valve springs the OEM lifters will work just fine ...

You want to set your idle no lower than 1K RPM re-guard less ...

Thanks thats a great help. The pinion gear driving the oil pump gave out, chewed up my cams and oil pump. For the re-build, and OEM cams run about $400. I wanted to make sure the N4's will do the trick.
Thanks!

If you have not done the RE-BUILD yet, "THINK" about this ...

Install OEM XB12 cams ...

They come with a factory fit pinion cam drive gear for less cam noise ...

Install a HIGH PERFORMANCE OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR H-D PN26391-06 ...

Up-date the OIL PUMP to PN26357-02B ...

Up-date your VALVES to XB valves complete which will make the THUNDERSTORM heads(OEM on your engine) flow much better ...

Will allow your engine to spin up to 7500 RPM, "BUT" 6800 RPM is plenty for the EVO SPORTSTER engine and if you stay at 6500 RPM or below your engine will last longer ...

Thanks for the great tips and info. I will keep in mind the other upgrades. I have the N4's on the way, will anything change with timing and/or race ECM fuel mapping?
Thanks!
