In the last year I've seen these come through the classifieds, rare indeed but they are there under Buell motorcycles for sale.

You should post an ad under Buell motorcycles "wanted".

What "i" like about the 1996 and earlier year models is they had 1 inch handle bars and THE FANCY HARLEY-DAVIDSON grips will fit ...

The RR1000 is the sexiest bike of all time - that frame and XR1000 engine combination just screams American bike.

Sebastian:

Drop me a NOTE with all your contact information.

I don't know of any at present but I get contacted from time to time and I know you'd be an excellent custodian. It is an amazing bike.

I got an old 1974 chrysler imperial mint condition it was $10,000 in 74. If you were rich....in 74, I would compare it to that. It is that prestigious! I have newly come to this brand of motorcycle and i want a complete set also!

Nice pic, I wish i had a cool bike like yours.

I believe Dan is talking about The RR1000 formerly owned by Aaron Wilson. Last time I was in Colorado, that bike was crated up getting ready for its trip overseas. Such a sad moment. It is rumored that Aaron sold his soul for that bike : p.

sorry Martin, i misread. i have the Blue RS1200 1992 #006 already. i have let one RR1000 and one RR1200 get away by not jumping quickly and with the current financial issues(hindsight is 20-20) i should have traded 1/2 my 401K then because it's more than 1/2 gone now.: )
how about some pictures of the RR's?

witch one,

the RR1200 still has some battle scars, really should make some time for here, the front needs to be overhauled,
new brakepiston seals, and fork seals, already did replace the base, head , rocker gaskets because there where weeping , fixed some electrical gremlin wiring and the state off the art 16 year old pinch connectors ; )
rear brake line ( was old braided stainlles, the kind that scuffs like a sander )
made a new t joint for the front brake lines , because it was rusted ..
still thinking off stripping here complete and sandblast the frame and coat it again..
but than again it's no longer really original..
thing is, is it a collectors bike and keep all the battle scars, and make here in perfect running condition
or make here showroom new

Court,

I bet John Mckosh would sell his RR1000 if the price was right. I remember he wanted a small fortune for it at one time. But then again it has alot of history behind that particular bike.
