Hey my tail light does not light up unless I hit the brakes. Is there a bulb I can cross reference with the stock part and get at napa or autozone? Thanks!

It's a stock automotive bulb, readily available. I don't recall the number (1157?), but if you bring it in you'll be able to match it quickly.

Zen's right, 1157 or 1157LL (Long Life) more vibration resistant

Spend the money on the LED replacement and do it once

Actually the stock brake light is a 7528 21 watt bright, 5 watt running...the 1157 is a turn signal bulb I believe and lower wattage and i think the pin configuration is different also

Where is the LED conversion available, and will it fit within the OEM light housing?

For some reason, it seems like the drop-in LED's just aren't very good.

Now, the LED light assemblies (I got mine from American Sport Bike) throw enough light to cut a man in half...

Go to Wally World and pick up the 1157 bulb - perfect fit. The low wattage side of your 1157 has lost its filament. Happens every few years -- the bulbs are dirt cheap so put an extra set in the tool box and change every other year.

Awesome, thanks for the help! I only realized it during a night ride, so that ended things quickly!
