I am running a continental race attack street tire. I was hoping to get some good opinions of what to use
1. 1805517 rear
2. 1207017 front

I was considering the continental road attack because of the supposed wear it can achieve.

I ride very aggressively on the streets. So i do need performance as well as long tread life. As i commute alot, On this bike.

As you may have discovered, I am a fan of the Battlax. The new tri compound is great in all areas.

BTW Bird you missed a heluva good time at Bike Fest in Vegas this weekend, maybe another time?

BTO16, the weather was PERFECT!, just a little windy but all in all a great two days.
When I pulled into th valet parking at Binions Horseshoe, the smell of cannabis was heavy,(not from me of course)and the beer never stopped untill after midnite on Freemont street. Jack Daniels girls wearing bikinis and chaps dancing on barrels, bikes inside the steel ball, a great cajun band. I enjoyed myself too much!

I am a huge fan of the Pirelli Diablo IIIs. So far they have had great mileage and they are the stickiest tire I've ever used. I ran BT45's on my sportster and really liked them too, but there's just something about Pirelli tires...

+1 for Diablo IIIs. I have been on Pirellis for a year now, and having done a trackday on Diablo IIIs as well as racing all year on Supercorsas, I am sold on Pirellis as far as grip and feel goes. I can't say how they will wear on the street though.

So far the feed back from my customers is VERY favorable(CBR 1000, R1, R6, Ninjas ect.)as relates to transition from center of tire to shoulder. Mileage has not been a big factor yet as they are too new, give 'em a couple years.

I was trying to order Sport Demons for my sportster last year, but everywhere was backprdered and I could not wait for new tires cuz mine were shot so I ordered the BT45s.

What's the price comparison to the BTO16(which is a street tire not a track tire)versus the pirelli?

The stradas are a street tire too. I paid 114 for the front and 140? for the rear if i remember correctly.

I paid $180 for just front! Because here it was the only place to find such a tire. The rear was given to me, so I still came out ahead, but it hurt cuz I didn't expect to need a new front tire. Anyway I bought the BT-45s for the sportster last year off a company on eBay and I believe I'll look for a place to buy my next set of Diablos online as well, seeing as no shop around here can pull the wheels off a tuber anyway and I do it myself. I found the pair for a cheap as $260 I believe is what I saw on eBay the other day.

I'm not gonna lie. I've been running Dunflop Qualifiers.

Damn nice tire, and I ride hard. Takes 'em a bit to warm up, but once they do...Stick good.

We'll see how they do now that I have rearsets to put on. Then I'll report back. All the way to scraping peg they held firm.

And, they are pretty decent in the rain!

My vote goes to the Pirelli Diablo Strada's like usual. They are wearing GREAT for me, and they grip great in the dry (two track days with NO problem), and the work great in the wet and cold as well.

Don't care for Bridgestone's (Battle Axe 20) at all - I won't buy them again. Best description I have heard for them is "wooden feel". I don't care for their profile either -- it takes a strong effort to begin their turn in. Mileage isn't anything great either.

I'm going to try Pirelli, but I've been quite pleased with various Dunlops (D205, D208 & D220) -- both on the street and track.

Cheap is a no go!
If im going to trust my life to a tire it had better be the best, No matter the cost!

With only 2 tires under me I won't run economy rubber, not even on my scooter.

I believe Tomo's are just re-treads. And we've all seen the remnants of those on freeways... Someone will have to confirm retread status.

If I read correctly their website says they are remanufactured with rubber compounds supplied by a major US tire and rubber mfg.

If they only had pink ones to fit my scooter.

Sloppy, you're buying the wrong battlax. The BT020 is a touring tire, not for sport or performance riding, hence the wooden feeling . Give the BT016 a try and see if you don't sport wood!

BT020 has been replaced by the BT021.

I had been running BT014's which I really liked (lots of feedback and feel) except for wearing out the rears a little too quick.
On recommendation of my tire shop I'm trying a sport/sport-touring combination of BT015 on the front and BT021 on the back. Got them yesterday, haven't scrubbed them in yet...

Jstr - the D220 and D205 are comparable to the BT020 and the Dunlops have wonderful feedback and great traction that the BT020 can't come close to. And the D220 / D205 mileage was as good, if not better, than the Bridge. Of course, YMMV.

I was told the BT016 was more of a track tire than a street tire, ie takes a while to warm up, but Bridgestone advertise it as a tire suitable for the street (and a replacement for the 014). Any thoughts?

(Starting to wonder if I shouldn't have got the 015/021 combo...)

This just in the new continental sport attack on a 06 xb. Only 25 miles on tires and rider reports loss of quick agile corner diving. But hopefully just the mold lubricant wearing off! Hhhm I need a new rear, It has gotten thin enough when i try to do a wheelie i can feel tire almost bounce and get a torque launch but no wheelie! shoulder grip is still 70%. continental race attack 4k miles aggressive street riding, And canyon carving.

Crap! 5 days shipping for $140. or right now for $172.
2-3 day express shipping $31.00+140. Hhhmm tire is getting scary. No cords but, When i put this tire on i was amazed at how little it weighed and how little rubber was actually on the tire, continental race attack street 180/55/17.
